Fat Matt's Rib Shack - Atlanta, GA
You know that great friend of yours that you love to hang out with, but almost without fail after 30 minutes he starts staining your ear about his wrongheaded politics or some other mildly offensive topic. Enter Fat Matt's Rib Shack, your complete solution.
The line out front allows plenty of quality time to catch up as you wait for these famous Atlanta ribs. Order at the counter and grab a seat inside for some quality blues music that is so loud all you can do is sip on your cold Bud, scream a few nice-ities and eat some good BBQ. This is a win win.
When you go, DO NOT SKIP the fresh roasted peanuts. When you are thinking about matches made in heaven, if a cold beer and warm roasted peanuts are not at the top of your list then you need to sit down and have a long hard think about your priorities.
While this place has "Rib Shack" in its name, the best thing on the menu is the brunswick stew. It is awesome and worth the trip alone.
The ribs are good and tons of people rave over them, but while I have had some great ribs here, I have also had some misses.
If you prefer a pork sammy, give it a whirl with a side of stew and some slaw.
By the way, if you are my friend that I like to eat at Matt's Rib Shack with, my kids are great too.
